Weekend Review: Move over Tiger, Phil is the master

Phil Mickelson wins The Masters - This weekend was amazing for golf, and Tiger wasn't even the biggest draw. He hung around - sure - but several un-Tiger errors made sure he wasn't on top at the end of the day. Mickelson on the other hand was consistent all the way through and deserved his third green jacket. When he came off the eighteenth green to hug his wife, Amy, who has been battling cancer - you probably had a really tough time keeping your eyes dry.

Shock bounce back big against Utah - The offense looked much better and Spokane can rest easy as the Shock rolled to a 68-34 victory over the Utah Blaze. So all this talk about the team being terrible this year? Well ease off the gas pedal, Spokane fans, and try to resist those front-running tendencies. All indications are that this team should be fine this year.

Banged up Mariners continue to struggle -
With injuries keeping Cliff Lee and Erik Bedard out of the rotation for now  , the Seattle Mariners have had a less-than-stellar start to the season at 2-5. The highlight so far was a three-run ninth inning comeback against the Texas Rangers on Saturday. Franklin Gutierrez drove in the go-ahead run and then made a spectacular catch in the bottom of the ninth to help secure the game. However, they're going to have to find more answers at the plate if they want to stay in contention.

Sounders FC blow lead against Real Salt Lake -
Up 2-1, The Sounders conceded a goal in stoppage time and ended up tying Real Salt Lake on the road. This isn't devastating or anything like that but anytime you can beat the defending champs on the road, you've just gotta do it. Not give up a goal with 30 second left to go in the game. My head hurts.
